COMPANY HISTORY

Flavorful from the first batch

Mrs. Dunster's dedication to making quality, home-style baked goods began with Harold and Ingrid Dunster. Using their own family recipes, they started Dunster's Donuts in Fredericton, New Brunswick in 1968. Word spread fast about the donut with a taste as unique as its apple shape. Soon, people were coming from all over the Maritimes and parts of New England eager to satisfy their sweet tooth.

In September 1996, Dunster's Donuts became part of Dairytown Products Limited. We changed our name to Mrs. Dunster's Inc. and moved our operations to Sussex, New Brunswick. And we began distributing our mouthwatering products to grocery stores across the Maritimes and Maine. The response was overwhelming. Demand has been so strong since then that we opened a state-of-the-art, 28,000 square-foot facility in August 2000 to keep pace.

Carrying on a tradition of quality

But for all these changes, one thing remains constant. We still prepare every Mrs. Dunster's product with the same care that went into Harold and Ingrid's first batch. We even use their recipes. After all, they set a high standard for quality and flavor, one we work hard to maintain.

That's why all of our products are made fresh daily using only premium ingredients. And that's why we ship our products using our own delivery vehicles. We've equipped our vehicles with refrigeration units and insulated truck boxes. That means you can always count on Mrs. Dunster's to deliver fresh-from-the-oven flavor.
